November 17, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until November 17, 2021
The Contemplative Dimension of the 12 Steps Programme With Fionnuala Quinn O.P.
The three sessions which are open to anyone, are especially suitable for those who live by the Twelve Steps found in A.A. and other programmes. Reflecting on our own habits and patterns of behaviour, we will focus on the eleventh step, ‘sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understand Him, praying only for knowledge of his will for us and the power to carry that out.’ By highlighting the contemplative potential within this step, the sessions will reinforce the key support system Centering Prayer, or any non-conceptual meditation practice can be in the process of recovery.
