€10Diving into The Deep End – With Tríona Doherty and Jane Mellett
In their new book, “The Deep End” Tríona Doherty and Jane Mellett invite us to journey through the story of Luke’s Gospel, following Jesus in the short years of his ministry. Using a series of reflections, they share Luke’s focus on cultivating inclusiveness, compassion and a love that can turn the world upside down.
In this session Jane and Triona will, in the spirit of Advent, explore how we might use the book to live out and share the radical message of inspiration and hope in Luke’s Gospel. They will share their own vision for building communities of welcome and love, with a particular focus on caring for God’s creation. They will invite us to recognize the relevance and importance of the message of Jesus as presented by Luke, in the face of the ecological break-down, inequality and division in the world today.
Wednesday, 8 December 11.00am – 12.30pm and 7.00pm – 8.30pm | Tickets: €10 (max 25)
