A day of refreshment and relaxation led by Jim Deeds.

Advent is a time of patient waiting for the ultimate gift at Christmas – the birth of the Christ Child. Join us for a day of Scripture, song and silence to nourish our minds and hearts and equip us for Advent, as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus once more.

Participants will leave with resources to aid personal prayer during Advent and to lead others in prayer in parish or community. Everyone is welcome.

Jim Deeds, from Belfast, worked for the Diocese of Down and Connor as Assistant Director of the Living Church Office, working extensively in the parishes across his diocese, forming Pastoral Councils, Ministry of Welcome teams and other leadership groups. Jim now works as an author, poet, retreat giver and pastoral worker across Ireland and beyond, often called upon as a public speaker/guest preacher at Novenas, missions etc. He is passionate about creating sacred space where people can pray, relax and come to know the great love God has for all God’s creation.
