A series of workshops presented in collaboration with ATD Ireland supported by the Presentation Sisters and the Christian Brothers. Ahead of World Social Justice Day on Sunday 20th February, these Workshops offer an opportunity to learn first-hand about the various causes of persistent poverty. Input from people with lived experience of poverty will enable participants to hear their untold story, to engage with their journey, and to understand more the challenges and struggle which impact on their experiencing dignity and respect. The four sessions will be offered in person and online and will highlight how the COVID pandemic has driven people deeper into poverty and reinforced the inequalities within our society.
Those attending in person will have the opportunity to visit the Socio-Economic Discrimination: Through the Creative Lens Exhibition, comprising the creative work produced in collaboration with ATD during the lockdown period. The Exhibition will be installed at the Margaret Aylward Centre throughout the month of February.
